From Canvas to Story: Introducing The Whole Point
When one painting became the beginning of an unforgettable journey.
Sometimes stories don't begin with words.
Sometimes they begin with a single brushstroke.
This year, for The Art of Pigs exhibition (July 31–August 1), I created a whimsical painting of a tiny blue piglet resting peacefully among the stars. That little piglet quickly became Baby Saran, and before I knew it, he had wandered off the canvas and into an entirely new story.
Today I'm excited to introduce The Whole Point, a brand-new Living Book arriving in the Celestial Library.
At its heart, The Whole Point follows Brynn, a lonely young girl whose quiet act of compassion changes far more than she could ever imagine. Along the way she'll -along with her fiercely loyal dog named Banksy-discover an extraordinary blue piglet, and an unexpectedly charming AI guardian called Lucky.
To celebrate the artwork that inspired the story, I'm also sharing "Lucky, Lucky Stars," a special two-part story excerpt introducing readers to Brynn, Saran, and Lucky's first unforgettable meeting.
